I love pictures. That’s all there is to it! I want to get better at photos, especially get some better photos of me. Yeah I guess you can call me vein if you want. I’m not trying to be. I think it’s more self-conscious. All summer long I have found different blog posts about taking your own photo or doing a 365 a day project. And yes 365 photos of yourself is a lot! And I tried the whole 52 Photo challenge and have had difficulties, but I’m going to try this whole photo a day for a year thing and see how it turns out. I put it off all summer waiting for January 1 so that I could do it January 1 through December 31.
Once Thanksgiving hits our days spiral fast toward the end of the year between parties and trips and work in general. Yesterday, hubby and I had a free moment, a breather if you will and we decided to spend the entire day together doing nothing. Well seeing what sales were like after Christmas but pretty much, doing nothing and just spending time together.
We are probably two of the most indecisive people you will ever meet, especially when it comes to going out to eat or even what to eat at home. Neither of us usually care and we can always find something to eat just about anywhere.
We were driving down 7th Street in Joplin throwing out all the different restaurants we could eat at when I suggested Garfield’s. We realized right then that in the 3 1/2 years we’ve been together, we’ve never eaten at Garfield’s together; it was settled.
As a little kid, I used to love to eat at Garfield’s. So much so that it was usually my restaurant of choice for birthdays.
Week 3 – Gotta love my tall socks, but I’m still gun shy, my heels hadn’t completely healed yet either.
Week 4 – No one ever said I was a fashion guru…
Week 5 sucked for running. :(. We only got 1 run in out of 3. I’m not giving up though!
Week 6 – That’s what he gets for putting it out there… plus we haven’t seen his butt in a while 😉
Week 7 – Didn’t see nearly as much pavement as it should have, but the shoes did get some lovin’s still, plus new shoe laces in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness!
Ok Week 8 went better. We’re getting back in the swing of it again!
Ok so cold weather and I don’t really jive! I still think I’d like to see a really good snow just because if nothing else the earth/ground could really use it! Snow brings great nutrients to the soil! Ok now is time to get back on the band wagon and run again! Please keep rooting me on because I need it!

We got a new dog… who sadly was stolen from us a few weeks later.I know she was stolen because after a week she came home and someone came and stole her again… I can’t explain it :(.
Tbug shared some Tbugisms…. although she may not know she did… lol :).
And I showed you all how to open mouth and insert your foot because people aren’t always in your head to know what you’re thinking. I promise Earl, I still thought those cookies were awesome and didn’t know such a thing existed!!!!
I told you what I thought my husband would miss about me, btw an update, he said he’d miss a whole lot more than that. awe, he’s a keeper!!!
I shared the Farmer Style video. [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LX153eYcVrY?rel=0]
I recapped my the year leading up to my 2nd year of marriage in days…. btw, people have asked how I do this. I sit down with a calendar and count days…. yup 🙂
I had a goat ornament show up on my tree….. I still think it’s cute but I still don’t want goats!
Two Monday’s ago, wow that seems like a long time ago! Tbug had a school Christmas program. First off I should mention she goes to public school now so with knowing everything about public schools and God being removed, it surprised and shocked me with the mention of Jesus Christ in some of their songs. Way to go middle town America school districts! I love it!
Anyway, moving on… on our way home from her school program we decided we needed to grab a bite to eat because it would be really late when we got home anyway. Hubby decided we should go to Johnny Carino’s since we’d both been craving Italian.
On Monday nights they have half price family sized meals. How cool is that?!?! Half price Family sized Appetizers too. Even better!
I also saw this… holy cow, I so need to try this sometime!
Memorial Day weekend of this year my friend’s daughter Moo taught Tbug the slug bug game.
y’all remember the slug bug game right? Where you see a Volkswagon Beetle and you yell the color and slug bug and slug the person sitting next to you while saying No slugs back!!
Well Moo and T (her brother) can’t slug anyone because T would slug his sister too hard so she taught Tbug just to say it. Well we allowed Tbug and Moo to slug each other as long as it wasn’t hard. We also had to add the verify rule because then Tbug wanted to “make them up.” If no one else saw it, the slugger got slugged back 3 times.
Anyway, jump forward to this time of the year and Tbug spent the day with my dad running errands one day. I guess they were driving along and out of nowhere she yells “{insert color} slug bug no slugs back” and supposedly slugs him. How hard, I’m not sure because I wasn’t there… but still to listen to my dad talk about it is hilarious. Just had to share and give your kiddo’s ideas :). Spreading the wealth, ya know!
On our way home from Ft. Worth {boy that seems like forever and a day ago}, since we ate a big lunch at Ol’ South, we drove on through Oklahoma until around 3pm when we stopped at Chili’s in Pryor, OK.
I so can’t say Chili’s without singing the baby back ribs song that goes with it. Are you doing that too now?
So I’m a little sad today because Christmas is over. I LOVE the sight of the pretty Christmas tree and the pretty presents that lie underneath the tree just brighten the room! Granted I could leave my tree up for a while, nothing says I need to take it down, however it just isn’t the same. I love the thought of giving gifts and seeing the expressions on people’s faces when they receive what I’ve gotten for them.
Christmas Eve we spent with my mom helping her prepare appetizers/meals for mom’s side of the family Christmas while my dad drove Tbug around to deliver Christmas cookies. We had Hot Artichoke Dip (which in her handwriting we all swore said Not Artichoke dip), Cheese Dip, Chili Verde Soup, Mexican Lasagna, my grandma’s Corn Casserole and a bunch of other goodies! (more…)
I just wanted to drop in and say I hope you and your family have a….
