Wearing: Really you're at least a 6 month or greater onesie. I think I cried a little bit cleaning out the 3-6 month section in your closet :(. Diapers we moved you up to a size 4.
Sleep: You definitely aren't mommies girl when it comes to naps. I love naps... haha! You avoid naps at all cost but you're quick to fall asleep once you give in. You'll usually sleep between 1 and 2 hours during naps. At night you flip and flop and I swear are learning Karate in your sleep.
Behavior: You love to smile. You love to wave. You wave at almost everyone you see these days and you have a confused look on your face when they don't wave back or even acknowledge you. You try to be the center of attention but still cling to your momma. You still have that yucky binkie but we don't plan on doing away with it until after vacation. Then we'll start trying to get away from it. Somewhere along the way you learned that shaking your head no means no. I'm not sure where because I don't do that. Daddy said he only does it every once in a while so I'm not sure where you picked that up. You're not afraid to say no either and you use it correctly. Scary!
Eating: You love food. Every so often you throw mommy when you say no to a food you love. But I guess you know what you like :). It surprises people when they find out what you will eat and your favorite food is beans (yuck in mommy's opinion) and hamburgers.
Appearance: You have 4 teeth, 2 top, 2 bottom. You always have a grin on your face. Your hair still bounces back and forth between blonde and strawberry blonde and is getting extremely thick. It is curly at the end.
Likes: You like spending time with Tbug. You guys have quite the relationship and we all love it. You like grandpa! You like grandma too. You like smiling and saying no. You like waving. You like "touch down" (throwing your hands up in the air). You like going for car rides. You still like your taggie and your horse for bedtime. You like that yucky binkie.
Dislikes: You are quite the happy baby and there isn't much you dislike. At home you dislike your walker but like the one at Grandma's and at the dive shop... go figure. You dislike when mommy won't pick you up but you need to play with your toys and continue working on the walking. You dislike walking and standing once you realize you're doing them.
Milestones: You're doing really well at standing, especially when you don't realize you're doing it. You've been swimming and love it. You know where mommy's nose is (just not your own yet.... we're still working on that one).
Mommy: I was so lucky that God picked you to be mine. That's it. I hate when you don't feel well and the sick bug hit our house hard. You've been a trooper and you're a trooper late at night, sometimes even more so than mommy. Mommy wants to cry when you cry although when you're fake crying mommy has to hid her laughing. Mommy cried a few times to know that you were turning a year old and didn't want to admit it!
Daddy: Daddy loves spending time with his baby squirrel. Daddy loves you and wants to give you the world. He loves to play with you and hates when you don't feel well.
Other: We've said since day one you know what you want when you want it and that couldn't hold more true today.
Dear baby girl,
It is so easy to get wrapped up in comparing babies to babies when people shouldn't. I sometimes worry that I am not giving you the best of the best and then when you smile at me I know at least I'm doing something right. You are perfect and I should have learned and have learned early on you'll do things at your own pace when you think they should be done. I'm not sure why I worry so much because I wouldn't trade you for the world. You are perfect and while Tbug says only God is perfect, I should clarify so she doesn't yell at me and say you're perfect for us!
Love you so much,
Mommy & Daddy!
And since I'm behind, here are the 11 month photos as well!
