Homemade Garlic Toast

I don’t know about you but I love good Garlic bread… add cheese and I’m sold! There are some great varieties you can get in the frozen foods section at the grocery store, but what happens when you are at home, making dinner, don’t realize you want it, until you don’t have it?

Never fear! I have the solution!

Enter in, our garlic cheese toast!

1st things first, start a small pan on the stove with a stick of butter and some garlic. You choose the amount of garlic depending on how garlicky you like things.

Next pull out slices of bread. We did up enough for 2 pieces each. Our bread we generally tend to eat is Wheatberry, but white bread works just great.

Next once the butter is melted, slather your toast with the garlic butter.

And then top with your favorite variety of cheese. We used Mozzarella & Parmesan.

Place it in a 350 degree oven for 5-10 minutes until the cheese melts and it toasts up a bit. We use our counter top oven for this a lot so it takes a smidge longer. Just don’t forget about it and burn it.

Doesn’t this look yummy? OMG it is!

And to get a little extra fancy like you’d see at an Italian restaurant, add some seasonings to extra virgin olive oil and dip your toast. Oy, I die. Ok not really but it’s extremely yummy!

Enjoy!
