Zio’s Italian Kitchen – Springfield, MO

**Pulled off my  Recipe Blog**

Today is my 2nd wedding anniversary.  Heck, I can’t believe I’ve been married for 2 years!  One of my husband and my favorite places to eat is Zio’s Italian Kitchen.

We recently went to eat there, so I thought I’d share our experience.

Now, they bring you dipping oil and bread.  Hubby and I decided it was just easier to split the bread into two halves, one for him, one for me.

Since it was kind of a special occasion we had stuffed mushrooms.

Italian Stuffed Mushrooms
Our savory mixture of cream cheese, ricotta, Parmesan, spicy Italian sausage and crisp pepperoni, heaped onto fresh mushroom caps and baked to melted perfection.

Our absolute favorite to get there is the Chicken Parmesan.  Hello Yumminess!

Chicken Parmigiana
A lightly breaded chicken breast topped with marinara sauce and melted mozzarella. Served on a bed of spaghetti.

And when it’s special occasions we end the meal with dessert.  It’s not a typical thing… but this night we splurged.
Tiramisu!  Again, Hello YUMMY!

When we went to leave the restaurant it was raining.  How gorgeous is that?  And if you aren’t in an area that hasn’t been in a drought all summer with NO rain, well you may not understand.

But I got curb side service!

Find them here on Facebook.
