10 Things I'd Tell Myself When I Started Blogging | Blogtober '14

  1. Don’t compare your life to other people’s lives because a blog is only a snippet of their life anyway.
  2. Putting yourself out there will get you negative feedback. Don’t worry about them because the computer screen makes people feel invincible.
  3. Starting your blog when you did documents your whole live with one heck of a fabulous husband… although it could have been fun to start it a couple months earlier.
  4. Blogging is addictive.
  5. Sometimes you will hit writers block, just push through, you’ll be glad you did.
  6. There will be times when you want to call it quits… don’t.
  7. You will find products you didn’t even know existed through blogging. How cool is that? Although sometimes maybe not so much on the ol’ pocketbook.
  8. Your life is documented. You get burned out on scrapbooking, but it’s all there if you ever want to go back and scrapbook it, the information is there!
  9. Blogging will get you through some rough times/hard times in your life. It’s there. Your blog doesn’t judge you. Your blog doesn’t question you. It’s just there with “blank pages” for you to put your thoughts on.
  10. Your husband oddly enough loves your blog. He encourages you to write. He encourages you to keep it going. Yeah he gets annoyed a few times because of it… woops, but he’s there with you every step of the way through it.

I’m fairly certain I knew what smoked sausage tasted like, but I’m not going to lie, I’ve never bought it.  Usually it was at a potluck when someone brought cheese, crackers and smoked sausage.  So back when we did the Poulet Tchoupitoulas and I was wandering around the store, I had the hardest time finding…
